What threat do skin heads pose to society?

Skin heads are just as big of a threat today as they were when the movement itself was just starting. Their influence on a younger generation continues to evolve into more cult groups and bringing in more members. These cults bring in members because they allow an environment of acceptance to the individual, a safe haven to many where they can be accepted. These groups prey on the young, naïve, and outcasts of society. Although the skinheads motto says Blood and Honour, they argue that they only have used violence and intimidation in self-defence. Though the propaganda typically takes on a pro-nazi position and seeks to expand its membership for a better country. It doesn’t get really any more vague than that. About 1965, the image of a working class was defined by shorter hair and called the lemon heads which were later named skin heads but the short hair was all about practical reasoning;, since long hair can be a liability in an industrial jobs and a disadvantage in street fights. Skinheads may also have cut their hair short in defiance of the more middle class hippie culture. By 1979, they had even shorter hair with less emphasis on traditional styles and grew in numbers grabbing media attention; they wore punk-influenced styles; higher boots and tighter jeans. So not only had the skinheads become a massive cult, and a variation of sub cults throughout the globe, but a definitive style over the globe changing over the decades but essentially, all very similar to the original stereotype. These cults are still around today and as stated before, prey on the young men, use hate, revenge, and discrimination to climb in numbers, influence the young, and give acceptance to the unaccepted. Who wouldn’t want that right? They give brotherhood to those who seek it for one common purpose.

In an article I read some time ago, the writer made an interesting point. The skin heads resemble more the victims of the Nazi death camps than the well fed, uniformed Nazis whose philosophy they claim to admire. Perhaps they see themselves as victims first and warriors second.

i could see how they are victims being that they felt isolated and were often in solitude until they found them selves welcomed in through this group. I can definitly understand the statement on the well fed and clothed status but they chose this fashion to identify their group. to them, im not sure it mattered how much money they had. being a skin head was its own lifestyle. i defiently didnt think of things the way you mentioned, thanks for the input-definitly a different perspective i hadn't thought of.

Great topic to write about but unfortunately, they pose no real threat to the Country as a whole! They can be exterminated very quickly if the need was ever set in motion, like all other gangs & organizations throughout history. People spend too much time hating things they know very little about just to fit in somewhere & that is baically what skinheads are...Very abused, neglected, low self esteem kids! Need a real father figure in their lives...

You clearly have no idea what the true meaning of skinhead really is. If you would've researched a minimum amount (like checking Wikipedia), you'd have found out that original skinheads were apolitical. A lot of them even hung out in black ska clubs. You throw around the term 'Skinhead' like if it was synonymous to 'Neo-Nazi'. The 'fashion' was hijacked in the late 70s, by the BNP and NF. Today many anti-racist skinhead groups exist, as well as apolitical skinheads. Next time, try to expand your research and use sources other than American History X and Gangland.

I think this is pretty inaccurate. This article is about boneheads, aka, nazi "skinheads" and does not represent what real skinheads are about at all. Do a bit of studying on the history of SKINHEAD ... and maybe keyword the words "Trojan" and "Traditional" .. you will find that skinheads derived from Jamaican culture in England in the 60's ... we don't follow politics, and we certainly hate racists and hitler-loving idiots. We listen to ska, rocksteady and reggae, and we most certainly do not prey upon people. Please do not continue to fuel the ignorant views of the media by calling skinheads nazis.

I love white pride and when things begin to unfold on this country and it crashes we whites will regain power again and claim what is rightfully ours. I'm sorry for those who try to resist, there wont be room for you in the near future.
